Patrick K. Bond is a founding equity Partner of the Bond Conway Law Firm, which from its inception, has been dedicated primarily to representing units of local government in the State of Illinois.
Over his thirty-nine (39) years of experience as an attorney, Patrick Bond has represented local government clients in Federal and State trial courts and appellate courts in the following jurisdictions: 7th Circuit Appellate Court, U.S. District Court for the Northern Illinois District, U.S. District Court for the Central Illinois District, the Illinois Appellate Courts for the 1st and 2nd Districts, and in the Trial Courts of Cook County, the 12th Judicial Circuit, 13th Judicial Circuit, 16th Judicial Circuit and 18th Judicial Circuit. In addition to his litigation experience, Patrick Bond also represents public and private sector clients in their day-to-day business affairs.
Patrick Bond engages in a diverse local governmental and private industry representation involving personnel issues, government regulation, land acquisition, zoning, annexation, property tax protests, real estate tax objections and other related matters.
Patrick Bond has been appointed and has served as Special Assistant DuPage County State’s Attorney from November 1994 to Present.
Patrick Bond also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office prosecuting condemnation and eminent domain cases on behalf of the Illinois Department of Transportation from September 1995 to 2008.
Patrick Bond commenced his legal career as an Assistant DuPage County State’s Attorney where he engaged in civil municipal litigation, zoning enforcement, criminal misdemeanor and felony prosecutions, Federal civil rights defense, federal and state appellate practice, diverse litigation and motion practice. He additionally served as Counsel to the DuPage County Sheriff, the DuPage County Board, Highway Department, Recorder of Deeds, County Convalescent Center and various other county departments. As an Assistant DuPage County State’s Attorney Patrick Bond also implemented the child enforcement unit which became a state-wide pilot program. Patrick bond was also responsible for organizing comprehensive juvenile reimbursement and bond forfeiture collection programs.
